Features to know about

Smooths Out Rough Roads: Cushioned Design with Twin Bump Stops

Farm roads and heavy loads can make towing rough on both gear and driver. This drawbar mount uses twin bump stops to dampen road shock, giving you a more comfortable, cushioned towing experience. The shock-absorbing setup helps protect your equipment during long days of pulling hay wagons, anhydrous tanks, and other farm trailers.

Handles Heavy Loads with Confidence: 12,000 lbs GTW Rating

When you’re hauling big farm trailers or heavy machinery, strength matters most. This mount is rated for 12,000 lbs gross towing weight and 1,200 lbs tongue weight, giving you the capacity to handle serious work. The Grade 50 steel plate construction and cold-rolled steel shank provide durability that holds up under demanding conditions.

Adjusts for Different Setups: 4" Rise or 4" Drop with 7 Positions

Not every trailer sits at the same height, and this mount makes it easy to match them up. With 7" of adjustability and a range from 4" rise to 4" drop, you can fine-tune your towing height for balanced performance. The channel-style design includes easy-to-remove pins and large safety clips that make height changes quick without fumbling.

Built for Real Work: Simple Drawbar Platform with 1" Hole

This version is made for flexibility around the farm. The drawbar has a 1" diameter hole that accepts a variety of hitch balls, clevises, or hooks—handy when you’re switching between implements or trailers throughout the day. It’s a straightforward setup built to handle whatever the job calls for without swapping mounts.

Fights Rust and Wear: Powder-Coated Steel Finish

Towing gear takes abuse from dirt, weather, and heavy use. This mount’s shot-blasted and powder-coated finish protects against rust so it stays in service longer. The Shocker red and black color adds a clean look that lasts season after season.

Video Transcript for Shocker Impact Cushioned Adjustable Drawbar Mount for Farm Applications Review

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we are taking a look at this Shocker Impact Cushion Hitch, with this adjustable drawbar mount for two inch hitches rated at 12,000 pounds. Now, this ball mount uses bumper stop technology to reduce road shock, and provide a more comfortable towing experience. The shock absorbing ball mount uses these twin bump stops here at the top, to dampen road shock. This is going to hook your trailer to your tow vehicle with this included drawbar attachment. And inside here, it has this one inch hole that accommodates a variety of towing needs. So it's gonna be perfect for towing hay wagons, anhydrous tanks, and other farm applications.

It is important to note that this is not to be used with a hitch ball. The mount itself is shot blasted and powder coated to prevent rust. And as you can see here, included with this hitch are two easy-to-remove pins. And these large rings allow me at least to put in at least four fingers here, to get a good grasp and a good hold of these pins. And on the other side, we have these large safety clips.

So there's not gonna be any more fumbling with small hitch pin heads, and it's gonna be very easy to unhook, and to move your attachment to the level that you need it. Let me just give you a brief illustration of how this works. So I'm gonna go ahead and remove my clips. And by the way, these large rings do fold in either direction, in case you need to move them out of your way for whatever reason. So I'm gonna go ahead and just remove my bottom pin, and then my top pin, and just adjust this a little bit, line up my holes.

All right, let me go ahead and secure this again with our clips. Now, when you have the hitch in this orientation, you're going to get a maximum drop of about three and a half inches. And then if you turn over the hitch, you will get a maximum rise of about three and a half inches. So this is gonna allow you to tow the trailers of various heights. The inside channel width here of our hitch is about, is gonna be three and three quarters inches across.

And then the distance between the vertical adjustment holes are gonna be one inch in between each of those holes. Now, this is going to work with many of the Shocker Hitch ball mounts and attachments. Of course, those attachments are sold separately, but you can find those attachments that will work with this hitch on the related products section of our product page. This does have a Zerk fitting at the pivot point, that's going to make maintaining that point very simple by adding grease with a grease gun as needed. This is made in the USA and is upper grade. Safety steel plate construction, and a cold rolled steel shank. All of that is gonna provide you maximum durability. Again, the gross towing weight is 12,000 pounds, the tone weight is 1200 pounds, the hitch itself is also shot blasted and powder coated to prevent rust. And again, this is going to fit your two inch trailer hitch receiver. This does not include a pin and clip to attach this to your hitch. So that would be a separate purchase if you do not already have one. The hitch pin hole is 5/8 of an inch, and I would recommend to secure your investment. I would recommend taking a look at the infinite rule. Locking pins for the Shocker Hitch ball mounts for the two inch and the two and a half inch hitches. You will get three of those locking pins. One to lock and secure your shocker hitch to your hitch receiver on the back of your vehicle, and then two other locking pins to replace these pins, to lock and secure your attachments to your Shocker Hitch. You can find those pins on our website using item number IR39FR. Now, the distance between the first hitch pin hole to the center of our drawbar mount, the center hole of our drawbar amount, we're gonna be sitting right at about 10 and a half inches. And then, the distance from the second hitch pin hole, which I have this set on right now, to the center of our drawbar mount, the center hole of our drawbar mount, is gonna be sitting at about 11 and a half inches. And this can also accommodate hitch mounted mudflaps. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today, I hope it was helpful for you. Again my name is Andy, thank you for joining me..

  • What is Difference Between Shocker Impact and XRC Cushioned Ball Mounts
The Shocker Impact Cushioned Draw Bar Mount part # SHK28RR was intended more for farm applications since it has a ball mount platform with a 1 diameter ball hole that gives it more flexibility for "farm life" where you could use hitch balls or other types of clevises or hooks. The Socker XRC part # SHK37RR on the other hand is more geared for the average tower since it has two hitch balls on either side of the platform. The ball sizes are 2 inch and 2-5/16 inch.
